Not Blogging in More Than a Year

In Silence of the Lambs, Clarice asks Dr. Lecter if he is "strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself? What about it? Why don't you look at yourself and write down what you see? Or maybe you're afraid to."

Well, here at YLLAGDDI, we're not afraid to take a healthy dose of self-criticism, especially when we haven't posted in over a year. See, customarily someone initiates a blog to rant about various topics that annoy them or to appear more witty to their friends and acquaintances than they actually are – or both. Guilty as charged. But laziness quickly sets in as work, interests, and expensive projects impede further progress. As Michael Stipe once intoned, "Richard says withdrawl in disgust is not the same as apathy."

So, dear followers, I beg your forgiveness, especially for not sharing perspectives on timely Goddamn Idiots as they've emerged. I won't try to catch up; only pledge to do better. But, rest assured, this time off has produced a lengthy cache of future topics. And, as always, contributions are welcome. Until then, I look like a Goddamn Idiot.
